Kelly C. Sturmthal, Esq.

Kelly is truly a people person—and anyone who has met her knows that to be true. She genuinely enjoys meeting with clients, learning about their personal situations, and helping them address their estate and business planning needs. Her mission is simple and powerful: Protecting Your Family and Protecting Your Business.
Whether you are a local resident or a seasonal “snowbird,” Kelly can relate. Originally from Wall, New Jersey, she moved with her family to Jupiter, Florida in 1981. After graduating from Jupiter High School, Kelly earned a degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida and began her career with Barnett Bank, where she worked in multiple areas including banking and marketing. As a long-time Jupiter resident, she brings deep local knowledge and community insight to her clients.
Guiding others through planning has always been central to Kelly’s professional focus, which led her to pursue a law degree at the University of Miami. Since graduating, she has practiced in the areas of Wills, Estate Planning, Probate, and Small Business Planning, helping individuals and families plan with confidence and clarity.
- In 2002, Kelly and her husband returned to Jupiter to raise their children. She opened her legal practice, KellyEsq, collaborating with DSM Law and other seasoned attorneys to ensure each client’s plan is thorough, strategic, and well-coordinated.
- Through her consulting firm, Kelly’s Briefing Room, Kelly offers consulting services, programs, and unique membership options for military families. Her firm’s motto—“Where Legal Clarity Meets Military Heart”—reflects her deep commitment to those who serve.
- Kelly continues the legacy businesses she and her father started, along with several other ventures, including a family business consulting firm. Her father—an accomplished entrepreneur—remains a lasting inspiration, and the businesses they built together continue today. Drawing on both personal and professional experience, including blended family dynamics, Kelly guides clients through estate planning, probate, and business planning. As a CEPA (Certified Exit Planning Advisor), she also helps business owners navigate growth and exit strategies through the both Kelly’s Briefing Room and the Business Owners Council. - Kelly is also a frequent speaker on Planning for Your Legacy and is available for speaking engagements at events and organizations.
Family is always part of the conversation with Kelly’s clients. She has been married for over 30 years to her husband, Jeff Sturmthal, a retired Air Force F-16 pilot and American Airlines pilot. They have two adult sons and a puppy named Bailey. Nicholas is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Masters of Science in Management. Alexander is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and an active-duty officer in the U.S. Air Force. Together, Jeff and Kelly enjoy volunteering with their church and local military organizations, aviation, race cars, and traveling.
